Melissa and Bobby.... part 1

I am making my way through the photos from Melissa and Bobbies wedding. Here are a few just to give you a glimpse.

Some more pups from Redding

These dogs were great fun to photograph. The little one is Nemesis and the larger one that looks like him is Lila. They are both Pressa Canario dogs. The other one is Stud, a Siberian Huskey/ Wolf mix

Michael Roberts AKA my wifes uncle and therefore mine

Today was Michaels birthday and I decided to do something neat. I took some old photos of him and did some creative editing. The one of him in the highlander with a gun is my favorite. I had to completely recreate his arm and every part of that photo is scraps from another photo.

Pete Stiglich

Pete asked me to come and take a few photos of him at his place. I had fun.

Sam

Sam is a great dog. I got to go photograph him at the Benton Dog park in Redding. He was great fun and had tons of energy.

Chopper

Chopper is the sweetest american bulldog in the world.

A bridge to somewhere

When I went down to the dieselhorst bridge in Redding today I saw some very cool stuff..... along with two homeless men named Chris and Steve.
Yep.
That was what I saw.
Oh, and they found this sign that they thought was hilarious and they wanted me to photograph them with it. I decided to try a few different methods of creating HDR images with the bridge but these two are the only ones I am going to put up.

The waterfall revisited

I took the first image of whiskeytown falls a few months ago and I decided to convert it into an HDR image for the heck of it. I actually love the first one but I enjoyed the second.

Good old Northern California landscapes make my job easier

Just had some fun today

A man named steve let me take a few pictures of his car. After a taking some elements from a few different photos I got this. Enjoy

HDR Classes

I'm going to start offering classes in creating HDR images. The next class is on September 9th. Its an intro to HDR for people who want to expand their knowledge on the subject. I will be talking about:

What it means to have a HDR image
-That includes learning about things like luminance, candelas and EV's

What it takes to create an HDR image
- things like equipment, programs, brackets and the process of shooting images

Creating an HDR workflow
-Finding the workflow that works for you

Creating HDR images
- This includes tone mapping, single exposure images, and multiple exposures

Final editing in photoshop
- I will show some basic tools to make your HDR images exactly how you want them

I will provide images for everyone to follow along on. If you would like to participate in creating the images, you will have to have a computer with photomatix and photoshop. It is not required for the class but it makes it easier. I will cover creating HDR images in photoshop so photomatix is only a bonus.

The course will cost $20 and will be held at harvest video productions and there will only be space for 15 people

Ricardo and Kiley

This is Ricardo the Italian Greyhound and Kiley the Chiweenie. Kiley was one of the most active dogs I have ever seen. She would not stop running! They were great dogs

Shasta Splash

Its always interesting the stories you can imagine when you are editing photos of the Shasta splash dogs. There is something funny about a photo of a dog zipping through the air towards his favorite toy with no fear of falling from the sky or getting wet. they always look like superdogs. we should just call the Shasta Superdogs. Anyway, This day didnt have as many flying dogs because it was a training day but it was still fun to shoot

A little sundial with your HDR

I was doing a small project that included a photo of the sundial. This is that photo

Trash the Dress HDR

Here are some sweet HDR photos from the TTD shoot in whisketown
