Photos with Santa

The photos are in!!!

We have been working away to edit, crop, print and burn the photos or your pet so we can deliver them in time for the holidays. If you would like to see the online copy of your print, you can view them HERE. If you do not see a photo of your pet, it will be up as soon as we process it.

We have had a wonderful opportunity to work with some wonderful people. This event was sponsored by the Benton Dog Park Association. They were absolutely wonderful to work with and they do many wonderful things for the Dog Park and the Dog owners of Redding. Have we mentioned that they're wonderful?
The other absolutely amazing person we would like to thank is Kenna Hunt with Easy Paws Massage. Without her, we could not have taken the shots we did. She gave mini massages to all the dogs that were afraid of Santa. She was great.
This event was held at the Goa Wellness Center in Redding. We would like to thank them for offering their grounds for this event.

Mini Adventure: Another Walk through the Park

This time, we decided to get up at 6AM and take pictures. We only realized after we got up that it was going to take a while for the sun to come up. We waited a while then we hit the right time. while we were there we met some really neat dogs named Bo, Gus and Tonka. Very Photogenic. Very playful (as you may tell by my attempt to keep focused on them while they were running as fast as they could, though I nabbed tonka in mid jump). Anyway. Enjoy.

Mini adventure: A Walk in the Park

Jenni and I went to the Benton Dog Park on Thursday and took a few photos. Some of them are generic "Here's the Park" photos but we also took some photos of specific dogs and dogs playing in the park. If you want any information about the Benton Dog Park, you can find it here.

Mini Adventure: A Tribute to Robin

While on our Honeymoon, Jenni announced to me that her mom used to try and capture photos of Pelicans on their vacations. So in the true spirit if tradition, we photograped some pelicans while we were on our little adventure. Anyway. Enjoy!

Adventure the Third: A Jewel is the Mans Best Friend

What happens when you pair a warm hearted dog with a loving manly man? you get Matt and Jewel. While photographing this duo we had to narrow the aperture because of the blinding rays of affection. We did learn some valuable lessons from this shoot. That is:

Animals have a "happy" face that is specific to only their owner.

Playing ball is only really fun for a dog when it is playing a game of "avoid the camera" as well.

Dogs are really fun to photograph.

Dont wear a bright red shirt while photographing, unless you want your subject to have that vampiric glint in their eye.

Just for the heck of it.

Armed with a camera and some free time, My lovely wife, AKA The greatest horse photographer in the world, decided that she was going to take some photos of the horses at the camp she worked at.

Adventure the Second: The Mystery of Maggie the Mustang

When my (Jenni's) friend Hannah invited us out to meet her horses, we were thrilled with the prospect both of getting to ride and of taking some photos of our equine friends. Upon arrival, Hannah introduced us to Maggie, her adorable five-year-old mustang mare. I just about dropped the camera when I realized this was the same Maggie the mustang I had ridden two years earlier for a trainer in Cottonwood! Maggie and I had a lovely reunion, and Aaron took
some equally (or equine-ly) lovely photos.

Adventure the First: In Which a Startling Discovery Is Made

When Aaron and I received a quality camera for our wedding, we hadn't an inkling that this innocuous black box would launch us into a new life adventure. One honeymoon and 5,000 photos later, we realized that perhaps our habit of trading the camera back and forth at meals, in the car, during walks, while shopping, and while hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, going to the DMV... Well, we realized it might not be normal. Figuring that most people who are really obsessed with something (Copernicus and the Sun; Bill Gates and computers; Bill Nye and frightening small children by blowing up balloons) should probably go into that field, we set off into the world of photography, beginning with our friend's cat.
