Tip of the Day

When taking photos at night, the longer you have your shutter open, the more photons hit your sensor. Merging a short exposure and long exposure at night, will make sure you capture detail where light falls while still maintaining the detail in the lighted areas.

Tip of the Day

You can use noiseware reduction software as a great way to smooth skin. Noiseware will smooth the skin yet keep all the detail of the skin. http://www.imagenomic.com/ is a great source that I use for noise reduction.

I got to go and shoot an Mary-Kay event in Redding. It was really fun and the people were absolutely great!





Tip of the Day

Shooting in RAW will increase the dynamic range of your photos. You can capture up to 16 bits (depending on the camera) of data when JPEG only captures around 8 bits.

I am the technology and design director for a congressional campaign and the candidate, Pete Stiglich , has finally announced he is running for the 2nd congressional district in California. I got to photograph the costume parade at the sundial bridge for Shasta Animal Welfare Foundation in Redding CA. They are a great group that helps abused and abandoned animals find good homes.
